There are 2 basic macros you should know, the 2:3 and 1:1.

The 2:3 IS your big DPS macro as a BM hunter (you better have 5/5 serp. swift.) it is more mana consuming than the 1:1 but yields around 100 more DPS. Spam it

the 1:1 should be used when your mana is getting lower and you have aspect of the viper on. Spam it also
